Soul-centred Psychotherapy and Counselling works with issues relevant to our lives and overall wellbeing. It attends to the lived experience of being human, with all the losses and the joys, the triumphs and the travails and supports the changes that are a part of growth in a way that enables greater aliveness and presence.

The challenges of life and living are the stuff of soul.”Psychotherapy” comes from the Greek words “psyche” meaning soul, and “therapeia” meaning attentive healing or to serve. This is its truest function, to serve the needs of our soul.

As well as honouring the creative essence of soul work, Kairava is committed to studying and  incorporating the leading edge of research in related fields such as mindbody healing, trauma processing, generative trance, neuroscience and energy psychology, and applying them in a soul-centred way.

People come to therapy for a variety of reasons.

Therapy can be about support in relation to –

  • stress management
  • anxiety
  • depression
  • grief and loss
  • health and body issues
  • PTSD, trauma processing, recovery and healing
  • life transitions and cycles
  • relationships

“You are not too old and it is not too late to dive into your increasing depths where life calmly gives out it’s own secret.”   Rilke

Therapy can also be about exploring depth and meaning, and coming into deeper relationship and connection with your inner and outer life.
It can offer profound support when we are stuck in old patterns, behaviours and unresolved wounds that are holding us back from living more fully.

Value, meaning and healing emerge from each person’s unique process of inner work.
Therapy can support you to access and develop inner resources, and to learn new behaviours, tools and skills, in ways that work better for the whole of who you are.

The therapeutic relationship is a vessel in which we can grow and develop in ways that may not have been possible before.

“I hope you will go out and let stories happen to you, and that you will work them, water them with your blood and tears and laughter till they bloom, till you yourself burst into bloom.” Clarissa Pinkola Estes.
